Harihar Kshetra Sonepur Mela 2026
Bihar's famous fair at the confluence of the Ganga and Gandak is reported to begin on 22 November 2026.
The Sonepur Mela, also known as the Harihar Kshetra Mela, is held at Sonepur on the confluence of the Ganga and the Gandak. It begins around Kartik Purnima and usually runs for between fifteen days and a month.
Patna Press reported that the 2026 fair is set to begin on 22 November 2026, with the main Kartik Purnima days on 23 and 24 November, and that the Saran district administration is preparing for it. Confirm final dates and arrangements with the Saran district administration or Bihar Tourism before you travel.
