Editorial Policy

How we research, verify, illustrate and correct what we publish.

Accuracy and sources

We check facts, dates and figures against reliable sources such as official government and institutional websites, UNESCO and Archaeological Survey of India records, published research and established reference works. Where an article relies on sources, we list them at the end so readers can check them.

We do not publish invented statistics, quotes, contact details or travel information. Opening hours, fees and travel arrangements change often, so we point readers to official sources rather than guessing.

Photographs

We use only images we have the right to use, and we credit them. A photograph is captioned with the place it shows; we never present a picture of one place as another, or a generic image as a specific Bihar location. Our image credits page lists the sources of the images on this site.

News and breaking news

We mark a story as breaking only when it genuinely is, and we remove the label once the story has moved on.

Startup and business listings

Every listing in our directory is reviewed before it is published. A listing is information, not an endorsement, and readers should make their own checks before doing business with anyone listed.

Community contributions

We review every story, photograph and tip sent to us. We publish contributions only with the contributor’s consent, credit them as they request, and may edit for length, clarity and accuracy.

Sponsored content

If we publish sponsored or partner content, it will be clearly labelled as such.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we want to know. Please contact us with the page link and the correction. We will check it and, where we have made a mistake, fix it and note significant corrections on the page.
